The Collatz Conjecture is the idea that if you:

- pick a number

- if it's even, divide by 2

- if it's odd, multiply by 3 and add 1

- repeat

You'll eventually converge on 1. We think it's true, because it's worked for every number we've tried so far, but you never know. I wrote a program that tests numbers. For example:

69 -> 208 -> 104 -> 52 -> 26 -> 13 -> 40 -> 20 -> 10 -> 5 -> 16 -> 8 -> 4 -> 2 -> 14 shows the path 69 takes to get to 1, and the 14 is how many steps it took.

Sen. Samantha Bananathon (A-SS)@BestGirlGrace@social.illegalpornography.comanyways, if you can find a number for which it doesn't work, you'll become incredibly famous. We know that it's more than 87 * 2^60, so maybe start there.
