Anyone out there who's better at Web Stuff than me know of, like, a javascript terminal emulator or something

I just want to make a website that shows what's running in a terminal real time, so people can watch builds scroll and whatnot

Ideally, I'd be able to ssh into a linux box, have screen running, and then the website would let you pick between which of the windows in screen you could watch

I'm gonna look at these, but I'd also accept a way to stream the current state of a terminal to twitch/mixer/whatever without a bunch of X nonsense

@BestGirlGrace a script that builds and compiles an entire gentoo installation then restarts over and over so you can live in the Fucking Matrix

@BestGirlGrace perfect, this is exactly the sort of thing that you need. You may however need a basic websocket client I'm not sure it provides that. For testing purposes wscat is to websockets what netcat is to raw sockets

@BestGirlGrace oh and if you do have to go the route of writing the website part yourself, it's not that complicated + you can use this script to really pull it together erikosterberg.com/terminaljs/
You would just need to connect out to the websocket, and then print it with the functions that termina.js provides for printing to your web terminal

@BestGirlGrace Most low effort way is maybe to have the terminal be outputting to a file and then have a node process that is getting input from that file as a stream, ideally everytime something is written to the file the node stream will pick it up and you can do with it what you want

@BestGirlGrace is the Federation bot trying to pick you up or do you also win lottery every other day?
